May 2014 - Bostonia Partners Hires Randall E. (Randy) Male, Major Addition to Bostonia’s Renewable Energy Finance Practice
(Boston, MA – May 15, 2014)-- Bostonia Partners LLC today announced that Randall E. (Randy) Male has joined the firm as a Managing Director with a specialization in the renewable energy sector.
A veteran finance executive with over 25 years of experience, Mr. Male has an extensive background in corporate and project financing, capital raises, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. In particular he brings a breadth of relationships in the renewable energy sector, having led the development of over 1GW of wind and solar projects in the U.S. and Canada. He is also a recognized thought leader in renewable energy finance, having been published and interviewed on new renewable energy funding vehicles and opportunities to broaden investor participation in the sector.
Mr. Male will be based in Bostonia’s Boston office where he will expand Bostonia’s renewable energy investment banking practice, identify strategic investment opportunities for Bostonia’s renewable energy fund and lead the development and delivery of new and creative financing solutions.
Most recently Mr. Male was president of REM Energy, where he provided strategic and financial consulting services to the renewable energy industry, most particularly wind energy. Prior to REM Energy, Mr. Male served as Senior Developer at Citizens Energy where he led the renewable energy development, financing and strategic partnering efforts for the Eastern United States and Canada, including a 500 MW wind power development portfolio and utility scale solar project development. Mr. Male also previously served as CFO and Co-Founder of RSE Wind where he managed the formation, growth, and financing of an early-stage, utility-scale wind development company, and led the sale of its 600 MW development portfolio.
Mr. Male’s career in finance also includes financial management and corporate development for start-ups and Fortune 100 enterprises. Previously Mr. Male was a Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development at AlliedSignal, Inc. (now Honeywell) where he led strategy and M&A. Mr. Male holds a BS in Business from Skidmore College, and an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
