November 2014 - Bostonia Funds $29 million ESPC for National Park Service facilities in the National Capital Region
Bostonia Group provided $29 million in funding to an Energy Services Company to make energy savings improvements for the National Park Service at 13 individual parks, including the National Mall and Memorial Parks, in the National Capital Region. As financial advisor and placement agent, Bostonia structured the transaction as a securitization of the cash flow derived from various energy conservation measures implemented for the National Park Service. Energy Conservation Measures implemented at the park facilities include: water efficient irrigation, interior & exterior lighting, water efficient fixtures and fountains, solar PV system, and a variety of other lighting and HVAC upgrades. Over twenty-three years of the Energy Savings Performance Contract, the National Park Service is expected to save approximately $120 million in energy and water costs.
