August 2011 - Bostonia Serves as Financial Advisor for Development of 9.8 Megawatt Solar System at Campbell's Soup Plant
(August 2011) - Bostonia Partners ("Bostonia") served as financial advisor to BNB Renewable Energy Holdings ("BNB"). In its capacity as Advisor, Bostonia helped structure the financing aspects of the project and arranged the partnership between BNB and co-developer Enfinity America Corporation (“Enfinity) for the development of a 9.8MW solar project. Construction on the project is currently underway and is located on 60 acres of land at the Campbell's Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) production facility in Napoleon, Ohio. The ground-mounted project is the largest commercial “inside the fence” solar array currently under construction within the United States.
Campbell's will purchase 100 percent of the electricity generated by the Napoleon, Ohio system, which is expected to provide approximately 15 percent of the soup plant’s annual electricity requirements. FirstEnergy Solutions (Akron, Ohio) will purchase the Solar Renewable Energy Credits from the project. The project will eliminate approximately 250,000 metric tons of CO2 greenhouse gas emissions in the region, creating environmental impact. The project is expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2011.
